Boston Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov was involved in a fight with Montreal Canadiens blueliner Arber Xhekaj during a regular-season NHL game.
According to Idman.Biz, the incident occurred in the ninth minute of the first period. The two players appeared to have agreed on the fight beforehand and dropped the gloves at center ice, with both receiving five-minute major penalties.
As a result of the altercation, Zadorov strengthened his lead in the NHL this season in penalty minutes, reaching a total of 85. Xhekaj, who has 64 penalty minutes, currently ranks fourth in the league in this category.
