The Azerbaijani rhythmic gymnastics group has claimed gold at the European Cup held in Baku.
The team — consisting of Laman Alimuradova, Darya Sorokina, Yelyzaveta Luzan, Kamilla Aliyeva, and Sofiya Mammadova — took first place in the 3 balls + 2 hoops routine.
Their performance was awarded a score of 24.700 points.
Ukraine finished second with 24.350 points, while Italy took third with 24.000 points.
In the 5 ribbons event, Azerbaijan placed fifth (19.750 points). Italy took gold (24.900), Estonia won silver (22.000), and Bulgaria secured bronze (21.950).
The Azerbaijani team has also advanced to the all-around final, which will be held in the “Cross Battle” format.
The European Cup will conclude on May 4.
