UEFA has issued a warning to North Macedonia’s club Shkendija, the opponent of Qarabag in the third qualifying round of the Champions League.
Idman.biz, citing Report news agency, reports that the warning came due to incidents during Shkendija’s home match against Romanian club FCSB in the first leg of the second qualifying round, which they won 1-0.
Local fans threw foreign objects onto the field during the match. Because of this, the national champions received a warning. If such behavior occurs again, Shkendija will be fined.
Qarabag won the first leg of the third qualifying round away with a 1-0 score. The return leg will be held in Baku on August 12.
