Swedish footballer Alexander Isak has returned to Newcastle’s training base after a long absence.
The 25-year-old striker had boycotted the club, refusing to attend training and skipping the team’s Asia tour due to his desire to continue his career elsewhere, Idman.biz reports.
Isak ignored Newcastle’s pre-season preparations and instead trained at the facilities of his former club, Real Sociedad in Spain.
Following the unsuccessful boycott, Isak has now returned to Newcastle’s base, where he trained alone on the pitch for three hours.
Liverpool offered €120 million for Isak, but Newcastle rejected the bid.
In the 2024/25 season, he played 42 matches at club level, scoring 27 goals and providing 6 assists.
