Shamakhi have scored their 900th goal in the history of Azerbaijan's top-flight football championship.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing the Professional Football League (PFL), the milestone was reached by a club previously known as Khazar University, Inter and Keshla.
Abdullahi Shuaybu scored the landmark goal in Shamakhi's 1-1 away draw against Zira in the seventh round of the Misli Premier League.
The historic strike came in the club's 733rd top-flight match.
Of Shamakhi's 900 league goals, 482 have been scored at home and 418 away. In terms of total goals in Azerbaijan's top division, the club ranks fourth, behind only Qarabag, Neftchi and Kapaz.
Shamakhi's goalscoring history dates back to the 1999/2000 season.
The club's first-ever top-flight goal was scored by Samir Alakbarov on November 7, 1999, in a home match against Neftchi.
Alakbarov found the net in the 37th minute of that encounter, which ended in a 3-2 defeat for his team.
More than 26 years later, Shuaybu's goal has added another milestone to the club's history in Azerbaijani football.
