Qarabag was punished for what happened in the play-off round of the Europa League against Braga in Baku.

Idman.biz reports that the decision was made by the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee of UEFA.

Our representative was fined 8,000 euros for using a laser pointer. Due to improper use of the loudspeaker in the stadium, Qarabag lost 5 thousand. Elvin Jafarguliyev, who insulted the official of the game - the referee, was disqualified from UEFA club tournaments for two games. Although the Qarabag player missed the first match of the R16 against Bayer, the part of the punishment that was not served remained for the next season. Considering the red card he received in the return match against the German club, Jafarguliyev will start the 2024/25 season with a two-match suspension.

In this match, Braga also received a warning for improper behavior of its players.

It should be noted that although Qarabag lost 2:3 in the match at home, they advanced to the last-16 finals.
