Manchester United have concluded an investigation into cases of illegal ticket resales.
As İdman.Biz reports, citing the club, 685 season-ticket holder accounts have been blocked as a result of the investigation.
Manchester United said the most serious violations involved the use of the club’s ticketing system for profit. The investigation also uncovered organised networks that controlled the sale and distribution of tickets through hundreds of accounts.
A further 464 fans received less severe sanctions or final warnings.
The investigation has sparked criticism from some supporters. Fan group The 1958 said it plans to stage a protest ahead of the Manchester derby, claiming that innocent season-ticket holders may also have been affected by the sanctions.
