Fenerbahce's new head coach Emre Belozoglu could make his managerial debut in the UEFA Champions League Matchday 4 encounter against Liverpool.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing Turkish outlet Sporx, all the necessary administrative procedures have been completed to allow the 46-year-old coach to lead the Istanbul club in the upcoming match.
Belozoglu is expected to visit Fenerbahce's Samandira training complex today, where he will meet the players and hold discussions with interim head coach Dirk Kuyt.
Following these meetings, the newly appointed manager will decide whether to take his place in the technical area for the Champions League clash against the English giants.
Fenerbahce officially announced Belozoglu's appointment on November 3, following the departure of Ismail Kartal.
The former Turkish international signed an 18-month contract with the Istanbul club, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his coaching career.
Belozoglu previously represented Fenerbahce as a player and later served as the club's sporting director and head coach, making his return a familiar one for supporters.
The Champions League encounter between Fenerbahce and Liverpool will take place today, November 4, in Istanbul, with kick-off scheduled for 21:45 Baku time.
