Qarabag forward Taofik Ismail has shared his thoughts following the 1-1 away draw against Zira in the fifth round of the Azerbaijan Premier League.
As reported by İdman.biz, the striker expressed his disappointment with the result but stressed that the team must now focus on returning to winning ways.
"We didn't win. We are disappointed. But we earned one point. We hope to win the next match," Ismail told Sportify.az.
The forward also commented on registering his first assist for Qarabag and the importance of the result.
"It's normal. The important thing is to win. We drew, but we have to win the next match because we are fighting for the championship," he said.
Ismail also addressed the possibility of starting the next match and his role in the team.
"It doesn't matter, it's not a problem for me. If I am on the bench, that's normal too. I come onto the pitch to help the team," the forward added.
