Lewandowski's MLS goal drought extends to eight matches as Chicago Fire fight back against Orlando

Chicago Fire striker Robert Lewandowski's struggles in front of goal continued as the Polish veteran failed to score for the eighth consecutive Major League Soccer match.

As reported by İdman.Biz, citing Polish outlet Przegląd Sportowy, the 38-year-old forward endured another frustrating evening as Chicago Fire came from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw against Orlando City.

Lewandowski had several opportunities to end his scoring drought but was repeatedly denied. One of his acrobatic efforts struck the post, while the Orlando goalkeeper produced important saves to prevent the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich striker from finding the net.

The Polish international appeared visibly frustrated after the final whistle, having come close to scoring on several occasions.

Polish journalist Daniel Bociąga commented on Lewandowski's performance:

"Robert went goalless again, but this time he was unlucky. The goalkeeper's saves, the shot against the post and the comeback from 2-0 down."

Meanwhile, French star Antoine Griezmann played a key role for Orlando City, contributing a goal and an assist.

Chicago Fire trailed 2-0 at half-time but mounted an impressive second-half comeback. Goals from Bamba and Haile-Selassie rescued a point for the hosts and prevented another defeat.

Despite Chicago's resilience, Lewandowski's prolonged goal drought remains a concern as the experienced striker continues his search for a return to scoring form in MLS.
