Al-Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo could return to the Portugal national team for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches in November.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, the 41-year-old forward has been included in the national team's preliminary squad. His Al-Nassr teammates Samu Costa and Joao Felix are also expected to feature on the list.
Ronaldo's potential return comes amid controversy surrounding his recent disciplinary issues with the Portuguese Football Federation.
On October 19, the federation reportedly handed the five-time Ballon d'Or winner a 30-day suspension and a €255 fine.
The disciplinary action followed tensions between Ronaldo and the national team. The veteran forward had previously left Portugal's training camp ahead of a match against Denmark. He also revealed that he had presented several conditions to the national team head coach after being left out of the match against Norway.
Despite the controversy, Ronaldo remains a potential option for Portugal as the team prepares for its final international fixtures of 2026.
Portugal are scheduled to play two UEFA Nations League matches next month, facing Denmark on November 14 before taking on Wales on November 17.
Ronaldo's inclusion in the final squad will depend on the coaching staff's decision and his eligibility following the disciplinary suspension.
