Former France international Franck Ribery has congratulated Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane on winning the 2026 Ballon d'Or.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the former Bayern winger shared a congratulatory message on social media platform X, praising Kane's dedication and professionalism.
"Congratulations, Harry Kane! Your humility, hard work and dedication to the team have finally paid off. This proves that talent combined with determination and team spirit is always rewarded. Respect!" Ribery wrote.
Kane became the first English player in 25 years to win the prestigious individual award. The last Englishman to receive the Ballon d'Or was Michael Owen in 2001.
The Bayern Munich striker enjoyed an outstanding 2025/2026 season, scoring 73 goals for his club and the England national team across all competitions.
In the Ballon d'Or voting, Kane finished ahead of Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe and Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal.
The 2026 triumph also made Kane the first Bayern Munich player to win the award since Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in 1981.
Ribery himself came close to winning the Ballon d'Or in 2013 after helping Bayern secure a historic treble, but finished third behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
