Santos forward Neymar will miss his team's next three Brazilian Serie A matches following a disciplinary decision and an accumulation of yellow cards.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing Globo, the 34-year-old Brazilian international received a two-match suspension from Brazil's Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) on October 28. He will also serve an additional one-match ban after reaching the yellow-card limit.
The disciplinary proceedings stemmed from an incident during Santos' 1-1 draw against Bahia in the 32nd round of the Brazilian championship.
At half-time, Neymar became involved in a heated exchange with opposition midfielder Rodrigo Nestor. During the confrontation, the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star covered his mouth with his hand while speaking to his opponent.
The incident resulted in Neymar receiving a straight red card and subsequently facing disciplinary action.
As a result, the forward will be unavailable for Santos' matches against Palmeiras on October 28, Red Bull Bragantino on November 2 and Coritiba on November 18.
Neymar returned to his boyhood club Santos in 2025 after spells with Barcelona, PSG and Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal. His latest suspension represents another setback for the Brazilian star as he continues his career in his homeland.
