Bayern Munich have reportedly maintained regular contact with Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard over the past several years, with the Norwegian midfielder open to the possibility of joining the Bundesliga giants.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing Sky Sport Germany, Arsenal are working to extend the 27-year-old's contract, which currently runs until the summer of 2028.
However, if negotiations fail to produce an agreement, the London club could consider selling Odegaard in the summer of 2027 rather than risk losing him for a reduced fee closer to the end of his contract.
Bayern are not the only club monitoring the situation, with several other leading European sides also reportedly interested in the Norway international.
Odegaard has been at Arsenal since the summer of 2021 and has established himself as one of the club's key players.
The midfielder has made 14 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist.
According to Transfermarkt, his current market value stands at €80 million.
