Alexander Isak speaks about difficulties he has faced at Liverpool

Liverpool striker Alexander Isak has commented on a difficult start to his spell at the Merseyside club after his summer transfer from Newcastle for 125 million pounds, Idman.Biz reports.

According to the player, he is still unable to give a clear explanation for the reasons behind both the team’s struggles and his own issues with form.

In an interview with Swedish outlet Sportbladet, Isak admitted that the adaptation period at Anfield has been challenging. “I don’t have an answer to that question. As a team, our football is moving slowly at the moment, but that’s how football works. There are periods when things don’t come together. This is not the first time in my career I have gone through something like this, and the only solution is to keep fighting,” the striker said.

So far, the record transfer has not lived up to expectations. In the current Premier League season, Liverpool sit only ninth in the table, while Isak has scored two goals in 15 matches. The first full season under Arne Slot has been marked by squad changes, injuries and a search for tactical balance, which, according to the player, has complicated the process of settling in. “Not everything goes according to plan, and then you have to accept the situation as it is,” the Swede noted.

The forward also stressed that he views what is happening with a sense of perspective and experience. “You are never too high and never too low. Finding that balance is what matters,” Isak said. In the upcoming match against Tottenham, he will have an additional opportunity to prove himself, as Mohamed Salah will miss the game due to his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations.
