Liverpool forward Alexander Isak has purchased a guard Doberman worth €34,000.
According to Idman.Biz, citing The Sun, the acquisition is linked to threats of violence the 26-year-old footballer received after playing for the Swedish national team.
The threats were directed at the player following the national team’s poor performance in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, raising serious concerns about his personal safety.
It is noted that there is a growing trend among English Premier League players to acquire dogs for the protection of their property. This follows a series of break-ins and robberies targeting celebrities’ homes in the UK.
In the current season, Isak has participated in 12 matches for both club and country, scoring one goal during this period.
It is worth noting that the UEFA Champions League match between Qarabag and Liverpool will take place on January 28 next year in England.
