Rashford faces £15 million bill as dream home project turns into costly nightmare

Marcus Rashford’s dream of building a lavish mansion in Cheshire has turned into a financial headache.

Idman.Biz reports that the Barcelona loanee, who left Manchester United this summer, reportedly faces a £15 million bill after years of stalled construction, flooding issues, and money disputes.

Rashford began the project in 2020 after purchasing land for £2.25 million, planning a five-bedroom home with a pool, gym, and guest apartment. However, progress has been slow, and The Sun claims work even stopped “amid a dispute over money.” Neighbours say the site remains incomplete, while one described “non-stop pumping” due to waterlogging.

The England star has ordered his finance team to investigate the delays, fearing the property will never match its cost. Despite reports of escalating expenses, the construction company insists there are “no concerns” over the quality or progress of the project. Rashford, now focused on his career in Spain, is said to be eager just to see his “forever home” finally finished.
