The junior and youth European Fencing Championship held in Naples, Italy has ended.
Idman.biz reports that saber player Murad Alekbarov achieved the highest result in the youth tournament.
He finished the championship on the 11th place. The youth saber team consisting of Murad Akbarov, Saleh Mammadov, Aykhan Khasiyev and Magsud Huseynli lost to the Turkish team in the team competition with a score of 35:45.
The Azerbaijani national epee team consisting of Aynur Guliyeva, Khadija Hasanli, Azerin Idriszade and Nazrin Mehdiyeva won the first match against Finland with a score of 45:35. In the next round, our team lost to the Polish team with a score of 30:45.
Azerbaijan's saber team consisting of Zarifa Huseynova, Fidan Guliyeva, Farah Abbasova and Zuleikha Sultanli lost to the French team in the first match with a score of 32:45 and stopped the fight.
