On September 10, a road bicycle group race "Pedal with speed" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held among the amateurs of the organization of the Azerbaijan Bicycle Federation, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Bicycle Sports Club of the Ministry of Defense Industry.
İdman.biz reports that 18-39-year-olds (37 people), 40-year-old and older men (44 people), as well as women over 18 years old (9 people) competed in the tournament, which took place on the territory of Baku White City Boulevard.
Cyclists started in front of the Park of Military Spoils and moved in a circle. Men covered a distance of 16.8 km (6 laps), and women covered 8.4 km (3 laps).
According to the results, among 18-39-year-old men, Royal Mustafayev (28:00) was awarded the first place, Ziyad Valiyev (28:02) second, and Ruslan Mustafayev (28:17) the third place.
Etibar Hasanov (27:28) climbed to the top of the seat in the fight of men aged 40 and older. Yusif Najafov (27:30) took the second place, Kamil Aliyev (28:30) took the third place.
Natalya Vallek (16:30) won the first place in the women's competition, her closest follower Gulshan Garashova (17:09) was awarded the second place, and Tamila Akverdiyeva (18:13) the third place.
After the competition, an awarding ceremony was held. Cups, medals, valuable gifts and cash prizes were presented to the winners of the first three places.
Athletes who placed in the top ten in each category in the tournament table were also awarded with valuable gifts.
