Azerbaijan national team of female chess players finished a friendly match with the local team in Georgia.
Idman.biz reports that the team consisting of Gunay Mammadzada, Ulviyya Fataliyeva, Gulnar Mammadova, Govhar Beydullayeva and Khanim Balajayeva agreed to a "truce" in the last - 5th round.
In the reporting round, three of our chess players played with white pieces, and two of our chess players played with black pieces. The three games of the meeting ended in a draw. In the Azerbaijan national team, Gunay Mammadzada won, Ulviyya Fataliyeva lost. The last round of the friendly match ended with a score of 2.5:2.5.
According to the regulations, chess players fought each other within 5 rounds. In the end, the total points were collected and a draw was recorded with a score of 12.5:12.5.
Azerbaijan Chess Federation President, FIDE Vice President Mahir Mammadov, Georgian Chess Federation President Akaki Iashvili and European Chess Union Head Zurab Azmayparashvili, who were guests at various rounds of the friendly match in Tbilisi, wished success to the chess players and said that such matches help chess players maintain their high game form.
It should be noted that the Georgian national team is a four-time winner of the World Chess Olympiad. The women's chess team of the neighboring country is the gold medalist of the world and European championships. The Georgian team participating in the friendly match has 2433 average rating points. The average rating score of our team is 2382.
