FIDE and World Chess launch a new tournament for women chess players on the occasion of its 100th anniversary.
Idman.biz reports that the competition called "Swiss Queens Wednesday" will be held in online format according to the Swiss system.
In this initiative, FIDE has linked its goal with gender equality.
Azerbaijani chess players can also participate in the tournaments.
Initially, the prize fund is 100,000 dollars.
It should be noted that the date of the tournament has not been confirmed yet.
