Azerbaijani chess player Rauf Mammadov will compete in the team Rapid and Blitz World Championship.
Azerbaijan’s representative will play for the Freedom team at the tournament, which will be held in London, United Kingdom, Idman.biz reports.
Alongside our grandmaster on the team are Viswanathan Anand (India), Le Quang Liem (China), Emil Sutovsky (Israel), Anna Muzychuk (Ukraine), Samuel Sevian (USA), Alexey Sarana (Russia), Haik Martirosyan (Armenia), Sarbarto Mani (India), and Teodora Injac (Serbia). They will compete for medals in both rapid and blitz formats.
The championship will be held from June 10 to 16.
