Following the recently concluded Baku Open festival, the Chess Tour Azerbaijan will head to Sheki.
The second tournament of the series, organized on the initiative of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, will take place in the city from June 18 to 25, Idman.biz reports.
A total of 34 players from 7 countries have registered for the A tournament. Among them are Vitaly Bernadski (Ukraine), Varshini Sahithi (India), Umida Omonova (Uzbekistan), and others.
The rating favorite of the Sheki Open is Azerbaijani grandmaster Eltaj Safarli.
