The Azerbaijan women’s chess team has officially started its preparations for the upcoming European Championship.
According to the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, the first training sessions are being held in Baku under the guidance of grandmaster and FIDE coach Michail Brodsky, Idman.biz reports.
Brodsky is a highly experienced coach who previously led the Ukrainian women’s team. Under his leadership, Ukraine became world and European champions in team events and claimed two bronze medals at the Chess Olympiad.
With Brodsky now at the helm, expectations are high for the Azerbaijan women’s team as they gear up for their European Championship campaign.
