Azerbaijan Championship among young boxers has been concluded.
227 boxers from 59 teams fought in the competition representing clubs from different cities and regions of the country, as well as sports societies. Winners of 13 weight classes were determined in the 6-day tournament, Idman.biz reports.
Bilalhabashi Nazarov (48 kg), Zidan Humbatov (51 kg), Omar Aslanli (54 kg), Mahammadli Ashuraliyev (57 kg), Mahammadali Gasimzade (60 kg), Ibrahim Zeynalov (63.5), Huseyn Hajiyev (67 kg), Aykhan Aliyev (71 kg), Mirjalal Miragayev (75 kg), Huseyn Huseynli (80 kg), Ruslan Kahramanov (86 kg), Kanan Najafov (92 kg) and Ilkin Mammadli (+92 kg) won the title of champion in the final fights held at the Boxing Center.
"Neftchi" Sports Club (36) took the first place in the team score of the tournament. Z-1 Sports Club (27) took the second place, while Republican Sports Center "Tehsil" (26) closed the top three.
Mahammadali Ashuraliyev was awarded the title of the best boxer in the championship. Asif Mammadov (Ganja) won the title of the best judge.
The winners will be included in the national team and will represent Azerbaijan in international competitions.
It should be noted that two boxers were disqualified in the semi-finals of the 71 kg weight category, and the winner in the other pair was the champion and the loser was the bronze medalist.
