The Azerbaijan men’s national boxing team is set to hold a training camp in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
Idman.biz reports that the preparation camp will include the following boxers:
Subhan Mamedov (50 kg)
Amin Mammadzada (55 kg)
Zelimkhan Suleymanov, Mahammadali Ashuraliev, Mahammadali Gasimzade (all 60 kg)
Zaur Gahramanov, Malik Hasanov (65 kg)
Nabi Isgandarov (70 kg)
Rasim Chobanli (75 kg)
Murad Allahverdiyev (80 kg)
Mahammad Abdullayev (+90 kg)
The team will train together with national teams from the USA, Canada, Belgium, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, and Australia, and will participate in test matches during the camp, which ends on June 28.
At the conclusion of the camp, Zaur Gahramanov, Mahammadali Ashuraliev, and Zelimkhan Suleymanov will return to Baku, while the remaining boxers will stay to compete in the World Cup, held in Kazakhstan from June 30 to July 7.
In addition, three female Azerbaijani boxers will participate in the World Cup: Marjona Savriyeva (51 kg), Zeynab Rahimova (54 kg), and Aynur Mikayilova (57 kg).
The male boxers will return to Baku on July 8, while the women’s team is currently training in Kastamonu, Turkiye.
