Champion was shot dead in Germany
Besar Nimani, the former European and world champion in the IBF version, was killed at the age of 38.
Idman.biz reports that the German of Albanian descent was shot to death on an open street in Bielefeld on Saturday night.
Nimani died on the spot.
He was born in Kosovo in 1985, moved to Germany in 1997, and lived there since then. In 2011-2019, he won German titles for both the BDB and GBA and was also IBF European champion at super welter.
It should be noted that the boxer was injured in a shooting after an argument in the center of Bielfield in 2013.
