Orkhan Mammadov, a player from the Azerbaijan national beach soccer team, has been named the Best Player of the first qualifying stage of the Euro Beach Soccer League (EBSL).
Another standout from the squad, Ramil Aliyev, finished the stage as the top scorer with five goals, Idman.biz reports.
By securing second place in the qualifying round, Azerbaijan has earned a spot in the European Superfinal, which will be held in Italy from September 7 to 14. The top two teams from that tournament will earn promotion to Division A for the next season.
