The Azerbaijani national beach soccer team has played its first match in the first qualifying round of the European Championship (EBSL).
Azerbaijan, placed in Group A of League B, faced the England national team, Idman.biz reports.
The match, held in El Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain, ended in a 5–4 victory for Sahib Mammadov’s side.
For our team, Ramil Aliyev scored twice, while Sahib Mammadov and Bayram Bayramli each netted once. One goal was recorded as an own goal.
Azerbaijan will play its next group matches against Belgium on May 24 (13:00) and Lithuania on May 25 (14:15).
