Badminton competitions at the 3rd CIS Games, hosted by Azerbaijan, continue.
According to Idman.biz, Azerbaijani representatives have advanced to the quarterfinals in four categories.
In the men’s singles, Amirkhan Imanov defeated Tajikistan’s Oqil Qoshimi 2-0.
In the women’s singles, Viktoria Kumanyayeva beat her Tajik counterpart Mokhira Karimova 2-0.
In women’s doubles, the Azerbaijani pair of Nazrin Mehralizada and Viktoria Kumanyayeva defeated Tajikistan’s Sumaiyakhon Hasanova and Mokhira Karimova 2-0.
In mixed doubles, the Azerbaijani duo Faraj Karimli and Aysel Kazimova overcame Kazakhstan’s Yerassyl Akhmet and Amaliya Ormanova 2-0.
The badminton competitions will conclude on October 5.
