A 100 km ultramarathon run dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani Athletics was held.
According to Idman.biz, the competition organized in the Baku Boulevard was organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation and the Baku City Circuit.
Uzeyir Soylemez won the race that started at 03:00 with a score of 7:37.56. The second place was taken by Aga Aliyev.
The awarding ceremony will take place at 16:30 in the area behind the Baku Aquatics Palace. President of the European Athletics Association Dobromir Karamarinov will attend the ceremony.
It should be noted that about 50 participants took part in the ultramarathon, which covered 5 circles from the Baku White City to the Aquatics Palace.
