As the correspondent of Idman.biz sent to Khankendi reports, Javid Gurbanov, president of the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation, said this in his statement to journalists after the opening ceremony of the ultra-marathon held in Khankendi.
He said that we have experienced all the pain and suffering together over the years: "I am originally from Kalbajar. I left my ancestral home 30 years ago. Our victorious army led by President Ilham Aliyev liberated our lands from occupation. As a result of all this, we are organizing an event in Khankendi today. Nothing could be better for me. This is pride for every Azerbaijani. Congratulations!"
It should be noted that the ultra-marathon race, in which 64 athletes participated, will continue until March 4.
