Azerbaijan national athlete Nazim Babayev will not be able to participate in the winter world championship to be held in Glasgow, Scotland on March 1-3.
Idman.biz was informed about this by the athlete himself.
He said that the reason for this is the injury in the back of his thigh: "Currently, my treatments are ongoing. I will not be able to participate in the World Championship because of the 3-week recovery period. Because if I participate in the World Cup, my injury might get worse. Therefore, the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation decided not to participate in this World Championship. There will be many license-type tournaments ahead."
It should be noted that Babayev, who performed in the long jump, left the competition in the Belgrade winter tournament due to an injury. He had to compete in the World Championship as part of the national team.
