Azerbaijani figure skater Sabina Aliyeva successfully started the international tournament organized in Turkiye.
Idman.biz reports that the Azerbaijani representative took the 4th place in the short program in the competition (among young girls) at the Ephesus Cup.
She finished her performance with 45.71 points. Elina Goydina (Estonia) scored 55.44, Julia Castorini (Belgium) 48.45 and Ekaterina Balyuba (Kazakhstan) 47.88 points ahead of Sabina in the competition where 28 athletes were invited and 26 of them took to the ice.
Today, the Azerbaijani skater will demonstrate her mastery in the free program. Aliyeva, who is one step away from the awards, will try to overtake one of the leaders.
It should be noted that two athletes who were supposed to participate in the competition of young girls refused to do so.
