"The defeat in the final made me want to be more successful. I will fight until I reach my goals."

Jala Aliyeva (57 kg), who won a silver medal at the U-23 World Championship in wrestling, said this in an interview with Idman.biz.

Evaluating his performance in the tournament held in Tirana, the capital of Albania, the national team member said that she was excited in the semi-final match: "The World Championship is not easy, title wrestlers perform. I was a bit nervous about my semi-final match. I was sure to win and I did. We prepared for the competition at a high level. I believe that I will get better results from now on."

Aliyeva also revealed the reason for her defeat to Japanese Sara Natami in the final: "The main reason was that I was behind my opponent in terms of physical endurance. I will work on it. After that, I will achieve better results."

According to her, the future goals are very big: "The Olympic license tournament awaits us and I will prepare for it. "I will do my best to qualify for the Paris-2024 Summer Olympic Games."

It should be noted that the women's national team of Azerbaijan finished the U-23 World Championship in Tirana with 2 medals. The bronze prize for Azerbaijan was won by Elnura Mammadova (50 kg).
