The European Belt Wrestling Championship held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku has been concluded.
Idman.biz informs that on the second day of the competition, which took place for the 3rd time, the Azerbaijani national team added 13 more medals to its assets.
Azərbaijani Wrestlers won 1 silver and 12 bronze awards.
One of them, Etibar Rzayev (90 kg) advanced as a finalist. He lost in the decisive match and took the second place. Jeyhun Javadzade, Rufat Hajiyev (both 57 kg), Ariz Huseynov, Nurlan Mammadov (both 62 kg), Nihad Rzayev, Jasur Mehtiyev (both 68 kg), Khalil Murzayev (75 kg), Nasir Hasanov (82 kg), Namig Babayev (90 kg), Mahir Aliyev, Amin Gulamov (both 100 kg) and Sadiq Agamaliyev (+100 kg) won bronze medals.
With this, the number of awards in the team's account has reached 30. The national team of Azerbaijan won 1 gold, 5 silver and 11 bronze medals on the first day of the Championship.
It should be noted that Azerbaijani athletes won 1 gold, 6 silver and 23 bronze medals at the 3rd European Championship. With this result, the team ranked 2nd overall.
