Togrul Asgarov, the senior coach of the Azerbaijan national team of female wrestlers, told Idman.biz TV.
The Olympic champion commented on the preparation for the European Olympic Qualifying Tournament to be held in Baku. He said that the mood in the camp is very good: "We finished the physical training camp in Goygol. Then we rested for 3-4 days. It is our last carpet training for the competition. We will train here together with the Russian and Romanian national teams. Of course, this is very good for our athletes. It is important in terms of increasing experience. Our main goal is to win the maximum number of licenses in the European Olympic Qualifying Tournament, which we will host, and prepare for the Paris-2024 Summer Olympic Games."
Asgarov said that they have high hopes for every wrestler they will give a chance in the license competition: "Our main favorite is Maria Stadnik. We believe in all our athletes in her example and hope that they will also get a license for the Paris-2024 Summer Olympic Games. Maria is physically in full shape. And now participates in the trainings. I wish all our wrestlers good luck. I wish success to all Azerbaijani athletes on the way to the Olympics."
It should be noted that the European Olympic Qualifying Tournament to be held in Baku will take place on April 5-7. The competition will be held at the National Gymnastics Arena.
