Former England football star Paul Gascoigne has been hospitalized after collapsing at his home in Dorset.
Idman.biz, citing The Telegraph, reports that the 58-year-old was rushed to Poole Hospital and initially placed in intensive care before being moved to an acute medical unit, where he is now stable and recovering.
Gascoigne, one of England’s most iconic playmakers, earned 57 caps and scored 10 goals during a career that included memorable performances at the 1990 World Cup and Euro ’96. His close friend Steve Foster, who found him, said, “Paul is in the best place for him now. He’s grateful for all the support from old friends.”
Known for his struggles with alcohol, Gascoigne has spoken openly about his personal battles in recent years. Despite setbacks, he has continued to seek recovery, attending Alcoholics Anonymous and sharing his story to inspire others.
