Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has refused to comment on speculation linking Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez with a move to the Catalan club.
As reported by İdman.Biz, Flick was asked about the Argentina international following Barcelona's 2-0 victory over Athletic Club in La Liga.
"I don't want to talk about it. Alvarez is not our player, and I don't want to discuss it. It's not my problem," AS quoted Flick as saying.
Earlier, reports emerged that Atletico Madrid's board of directors had unanimously backed the club's decision not to enter into negotiations with Barcelona over a potential transfer of Alvarez.
The Argentine joined Atletico from Manchester City in the summer of 2024. Alvarez previously won the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League with the English club, while at international level he was part of Argentina's 2022 FIFA World Cup-winning squad.
