As reported by İdman.Biz, the club confirmed the tragic news in an official statement.
The footballer suffered a severe injury during Tenerife's Spanish second-division match against Andorra on November 2 and passed away on November 3.
The incident occurred in the closing minutes of the match when De Miguel collided with Andorra goalkeeper Jesus Owono while challenging for the ball. The striker collapsed to the ground and lost consciousness. His heart stopped beating, and he stopped breathing following the impact.
Medical personnel immediately rushed onto the pitch and began resuscitation procedures. After his heartbeat was restored, the player was transported by ambulance to Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital.
Doctors initially described his condition as critical but stable. However, his neurological condition deteriorated in the following hours, and medical staff were unable to save his life.
Tenerife expressed deep sorrow over the player's death in an official statement:
"We are devastated. We have a lump in our throats and are struggling to believe what has happened. There are no words of comfort that can ease this pain. We stand with Jesus' family, loved ones and all Tenerife supporters mourning this tragedy."
