Azerbaijan U21 international Lorenzo Mezzotero, who plays for Italian club Sampdoria, has earned widespread praise from supporters following his impressive performance in Serie B.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing Italian media, the 18-year-old striker attracted considerable attention on social media after scoring against Virtus Entella.
Mezzotero came off the bench to replace the injured Yari Verschaeren and scored Sampdoria's second goal, playing a crucial role in his team's victory.

His performance prompted fans to call on head coach Luca D'Angelo to give the young forward more opportunities in the first team.
"This boy is good. He needs to play and gain experience. He has the desire to fight, and it clearly shows. Keep it up," one supporter wrote.
Another fan demanded that Mezzotero be included in the starting lineup immediately.
"He should be starting right away. We need to show a little more courage and trust young players," the supporter commented.

Sampdoria fans also praised 18-year-old Bulgarian goalkeeper Andrey Krastev, urging the club's management and coaching staff to place greater trust in emerging talents.
Defender Karim Diop was another player mentioned in social media discussions, with supporters calling for younger footballers with strong development potential to be given opportunities ahead of more experienced players.
Born on August 16, 2008, in Monza, Italy, Mezzotero spent part of his childhood in Azerbaijan, where he trained at the football academies of Qarabag and Neftchi.
The striker currently represents Azerbaijan's U21 national team and previously attracted attention with his prolific performances for Sampdoria's youth side.
His goal against Virtus Entella marked the first of his professional career.
