Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has revealed how he would ideally like to bring his playing career to an end.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the 34-year-old Belgian said his dream would be to face Genk, the club where he began his professional career.
“I have always dreamed of playing against Genk. But it has never happened. A Genk vs Real Madrid match in the Champions League would be the perfect way to end my career,” Courtois told Forbes.
Courtois is a product of Genk’s academy and made his senior debut for the Belgian club before moving abroad.
His connection with Genk also extends beyond his playing career. Last summer, it was announced that Courtois had become a minority investor in the club through NXTPLAY, an investment platform he co-founded.
