Liverpool have announced the signing of 18-year-old Saint-Etienne striker Djylian N'Guessan.

As reported by İdman.Biz, the deal was completed despite the summer transfer window closing on September 1. The forward will officially join Liverpool during the January transfer window, while he will spend the coming months on loan at Brest.

According to media reports, Liverpool will pay around €5 million in guaranteed transfer fees, with the agreement also including a sell-on clause for Saint-Etienne.

Despite his young age, N'Guessan has already gained first-team experience in French football. He made 13 Ligue 1 appearances for Saint-Etienne.

The striker has also represented France at youth international level. He featured at the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup, where Les Bleus finished fourth.

Overall, he has scored 11 goals in 11 appearances for France at U17 level.

Liverpool's decision to secure N'Guessan underlines the club's continued focus on recruiting highly rated young players with long-term development potential.
