Barcelona forward Raphinha spoke after the club’s 3:2 victory over Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final, highlighting the decisive influence of head coach Hansi Flick on his career at the club.
As reported by Idman.Biz, citing foreign media, the Brazilian focused in particular on the role of the coach, admitting that Flick’s arrival became a turning point for him. “The most important thing today was that the team came out focused in the second half. We did what Hansi Flick wanted. If he had not joined the team, I would have left Barcelona. He changed everything and told me that I would be important. A player needs exactly this kind of confidence,” Raphinha said.
The winger stressed that he does not consider this match to be the peak of his season. “I would not say these are my best moments of the season. I am very demanding of myself. I always give everything for the team, help both in defense and attack, and do what I can. We have many young players, and this mentality, the constant desire to win, is very important for the club,” he noted.
Raphinha also underlined that the club’s ambitions remain at the highest level. “When you wear this shirt, the main goal must be to win titles. We will fight for trophies and we are working exactly in this direction,” the forward added.
It is worth noting that Raphinha was named man of the match in the Spanish Super Cup final. In the current season, the Brazilian has played 17 matches, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists.
