The opening ceremony of the Grand Prix figure skating tournament for youth has been held in Baku.
According to Idman.biz, the event took place at the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex.
The ceremony was attended by Youth and Sports Minister Farid Gayibov, President of the Azerbaijan Winter Sports Federation Fuad Naghiyev, and other official guests.
Speaking at the event, Fuad Naghiyev welcomed the participants and wished them success in the competition.
Minister Farid Gayibov then addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of hosting such sports tournaments in Azerbaijan and noting the growing interest in winter sports in recent years. Following the speeches, the tournament was officially declared open.
The Grand Prix will conclude on September 26.
