Novak Djokovic clinched his record-extending eighth ATP Year-end number one

Novak Djokovic, the No. 1 player in the world, will clinch his record in the season as the leader for the 8th time.

Idman.biz reports that the reason of this is Serbian's confident performance in the group stage of the ATP final tournament held in Turin, Italy.

He defeated Danish Holger Rune with a score of 2:1 (7:6, 6:7, 6:3) and set another record.

The 36-year-old Serbian has won the ATP title 97 times, and also won the Grand Slam 24 times.

20-year-old Rune, the 10th player in the world, won the ATP tournament 4 times.

Note that the tournament will end on November 19.
