Ferran Torres and Fabian Ruiz set Champions League record for PSG

PSG's Spanish players Ferran Torres and Fabian Ruiz made Champions League history in the opening-round match against Slovan Bratislava.

İdman.Biz reports that the Parisian club secured a convincing 6-1 victory, with Torres scoring a hat-trick and Ruiz adding another goal.

According to football statistics account MisterChip (Alexis) on X, this was the first time in Champions League history that Spanish players scored four goals for a non-Spanish club in a single match.

The previous record stood at three goals. In 2010, Raul and Jurado combined for three goals for Schalke, while Fernando Torres and Juan Mata achieved the same feat for Chelsea in 2012. Alvaro Negredo scored a hat-trick for Manchester City in 2013, and Lucas Perez repeated the achievement for Arsenal in 2016.

PSG, one of the leading contenders in this season's competition, began their league-phase campaign in emphatic fashion, with their Spanish contingent playing a decisive role in the victory.
