On February 12-15, the Taekwondo G1 category Fajr Open will be held in Tehran, the capital of Iran, and the World Taekwondo President's Cup of the G2 category will be held on February 16-19.
The Azerbaijani national team will try its strength in both competitions, as Idman.biz reports.
In international tournaments, under the leadership of senior coach Elnur Amanov, Sayyad Dadashov (58 kg), Rahid Valiyev, Khidir Mammadov (both 54 kg), Ruslan Seyidov, Malik Abbasov, Yusif Gurbanov, Adil Eyvazov (all 58 kg), Riyad Shiraliyev, Parviz Iskanderov (both 63 kg), Yashar Mammadli, Vagif Hajiyev, Khanlar Khanahmadov, Vugar Bagirov (all 68 kg), Alaskar Aliyev, Nijat Ismayilzade (both 74 kg), Eltaj Gafarov (80 kg) and Taleh Suleymanov (87 kg) will compete.
Senior coach Seulbi Lee and coach Zahid Mammadov will lead the team consisting female athletes including Salim Guliyeva (46 kg), Aylin Eynullayeva (49 kg), Nigar Abdullayeva (53 kg), Leyla Bashirova, Nargiz Kazimova (both 57 kg), Meylin Mammadzada (62 kg) and Narmin Ansari (67 kg).
It should be noted that the team that left for Tehran on February 10 will return to Baku on February 20.
