The “All for Swimming” competition has officially started in Azerbaijan within the framework of joint cooperation between the Azerbaijan Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation.
According to Idman.Biz, the opening ceremony took place at the Baku Aquatics Palace and began with the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Afterwards, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov and President of the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation Zaur Aliyev addressed the participants, wishing them success in the competition.
Following the speeches, the races got underway. The event, which is being held for the fourth time nationwide, has brought together a total of 1,551 participants this year. Swimmers are competing in the age categories of 9–10, 11–12, 13–14, 15–16, 17–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, and 60 and over.
The competitions are being held across 37 swimming pools located in Baku and various regions of the country.
It is noted that the top two finishers in each age category among men and women will earn the right to compete in the final stage of the “All for Swimming” project, which will be held among Turkic states in 2026. The competition will conclude on December 21.
