The names of the prize-winners in the men’s 300-meter rifle shooting at the World Shooting Championship held in Baku have been clarified.
István Péni, the representative of Hungary, has climbed to the top of the podium, Idman.biz reports. Although he scored the same points (587) as the owner of the "silver", Norwegian Andre Kim Land, he surpassed his opponent due to additional indicators. The bronze medal went to American shooter Timothy Sherry, who scored 1 point less than those mentioned.
Austria won the gold medal in the team competition. Switzerland won the silver medal, and Norway won the bronze medal.
It should be noted that the 53rd World Shooting Championship held in Baku since 2018 is the most massive sporting event held in this competition in the world. Up to 2000 athletes and representatives from more than 100 countries of the world participate in the competition.
